    Indiana Elder Abuse Bill S.B. 234

    Increases the penalty for financial exploitation of an endangered adult from a Class A misdemeanor to a Level 6 felony. The penalties are increased as the value of the personal property exploited goes up.

    Indiana Elder Abuse Bill S.B. 345

    Allows a financial institution to provide an endangered adult customer’s personal or financial account records to an adult protective services unit, a law enforcement agency or both if the endangered adult has an ownership or beneficial interest and the financial institution reasonably suspects illegal activity has taken place or will be taken place.

    Indiana Financial Transaction Taxes Bill H.R. 3

    Urges the Legislative Council to assign the topic of examining whether to expand the sales and use tax base to include services to the appropriate interim study committee.
