    Financial Literacy

    Iowa Financial Literacy Bill H.F. 28

    Requires students to complete one-half unit of financial literacy to satisfy graduation requirements.

    Iowa Financial Literacy Bill H.B. 101

    Requires undergraduate students in public institutions to complete a one credit financial literacy course offered by the institution.

    Misc. Bill

    Iowa Misc. Bill H.F. 569 & S.F. 463

    States that if the director of the Department of Administrative Services establishes a tax-sheltered program, the program must include investment vehicles authorized under section 403(b) of the Internal Revenue Code provided by an investment company that is recommended for inclusion in the program registered as a securities agent or investment advisor by the insurance division of the Department of Commerce. The investment company must be registered with the federal securities and exchange commission in order to be eligible for inclusion in the program.

      Comprehensive graduate program in family and consumer sciences with a conentration in family financial planning; online only.
