Faith Bitterman
Director of Programs, Invest in Others
Faith Bitterman joined Invest in Others in August 2023, bringing nearly a decade of experience in the nonprofit and development sector. As Director of Programs, Faith leads initiatives that recognize and support the charitable work of financial advisors nationwide. In this role, she plays a key part in shaping program strategy and expanding the Foundation’s grantmaking to drive meaningful, measurable impact for nonprofit organizations. Known for translating strategy into action, Faith advances innovative, scalable programs that strengthen engagement across the financial services industry.
Prior to joining Invest in Others, Faith developed initiatives at the American Medical Association Foundation focused on advancing health equity and medical education. She also served as an Associate Director at CCS Fundraising, where she led multimillion-dollar feasibility studies and capital campaigns for nonprofit organizations.
Faith began her career as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer in Tanzania, serving as a Sustainable Agriculture Extension Officer. In this role, she worked with local communities to teach sustainable farming practices, food security principles, and nutrition.
Christine Byrne
Partner and Wealth Advisor, Back Cove Financial
Christine started in the financial services industry right out of college because she wanted to help people understand what to do with their money. She was fortunate to land in the back office of Commonwealth Financial Network® and never left!
In 2000, she began her own advisory practice in Portland, Maine, growing and evolving into the Back Cove Financial of today. Christine’s start in the back office gives her an operations perspective; she delivers an objective, candid approach. As a fiduciary asset manager, she puts client interests first, always.
Christine continues to be passionate about helping people make strong financial decisions and excited about what the future holds for investment opportunities.
She grew up in Massachusetts and lives in Maine with her husband, Chris, and two true-Mainer sons, Jack and Gavin.
Justin Elder
Co-Founder, BrightPoint Financial LLC
Justin Elder is a financial advisor, entrepreneur, and non-profit leader dedicated to helping families build meaningful lives, not just financial plans. As co-founder of BrightPoint Financial LLC, he specializes in retirement and special needs planning, guiding families through complex decisions with clarity, compassion, and long-term vision. With a background spanning education, financial services, and leadership, he brings a rare ability to translate technical strategies into real-life impact.
Justin is also the co-founder of Moose & Me Baking Company, a nonprofit bakery that creates employment opportunities for individuals of all abilities. Under his leadership, the organization has grown into a thriving community hub known for its mission: “Wonderfully Made treats by Wonderfully Made people.” His work has been recognized nationally, including being named a recipient of the 2025 Invest in Others Emerging Impact Award.
At the intersection of business and purpose, Justin is passionate about building systems that scale impact, whether that’s helping clients steward wealth, creating inclusive workplaces, or developing new ventures rooted in community and belonging.
A natural communicator and strategist, he frequently develops educational content, speaks on special needs planning, and explores innovative ways to align financial success with human impact.
Above all, Justin is driven by a simple idea: when people are given the right support and opportunity, they don’t just succeed; they thrive.
