FSI Statement on 2020 Election Results
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Financial Services Institute (FSI) President & CEO Dale Brown released the following statement in response to the outcome of the 2020 presidential election:
“We congratulate President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris on their election. We look forward to working with the incoming administration to continue to defend Main Street Americans’ access to sound, professional financial advice, as well as their ability to plan for retirement, pay for their kids’ education and achieve their other financial goals. We also congratulate those who were elected to the House and Senate, and we pledge to work with legislators on both sides of the aisle to continue to drive progress for American workers, savers and investors.”
About the Financial Services Institute (FSI): The Financial Services Institute (FSI) is the only organization advocating solely on behalf of independent financial advisors and independent financial services firms. Since 2004, through advocacy, education and public awareness, FSI has successfully promoted a more responsible regulatory environment for nearly 90 independent financial services firm members and their 160,000+ affiliated financial advisors – which comprise over 60% of all producing registered representatives. We effect change through involvement in FINRA governance as well as constructive engagement in the regulatory and legislative processes, working to create a healthier regulatory environment for our members so they can provide affordable, objective advice to hard-working Main Street Americans.
