FSI Statement on Senate Confirmation of Lori Chavez-DeRemer for Labor Secretary
Today, Financial Services Institute (FSI) President & CEO Dale Brown released this statement following the U.S. Senate’s vote to confirm former Representative Lori Chavez-DeRemer as the next U.S. Department of Labor Secretary:
“We congratulate Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer on her confirmation. With the looming retirement savings crisis, Main Street needs independent advice now more than ever. Common sense rules and regulations are necessary for firms and advisors to operate efficiently to ensure retirement savers have access to the independent financial advice, products and services necessary to secure a dignified retirement.
