Maine’s Short Form Seed Capital Registrations
In July, the Maine Office of Securities released proposed rules to establish a system for small businesses to have easier access to capital through a simplified registration document for smaller offerings.
EQUAL EMPLOYMENT FOR ALL ACT OF 2013 (S. 1837)
This bill would prohibit prospective or current employers from conducting credit checks on job applicants or employees. Exceptions are made for national security clearances and when required by law.
