Tom Rieman

Tom has over 25 years of experience in the wealth management industry including extensive work in asset management distribution and the broker dealer eco-system with a primary emphasis on process and performance improvement. Before joining J.D. Power, Tom was Executive Director of Practice Management at Brinker Capital developing and deploying performance improvement initiatives with a focus on elevating the client experience and increasing enterprise value for financial advisors and wealth management firms. He was also responsible for new business development and relationship management with financial advisors.

Prior to Brinker Capital, Tom was Vice President, Learning & Development for J.P. Morgan Asset Management helping to transform the firm’s distribution model to facilitate a more client centric experience and drive performance improvement of the firm’s distribution professionals across all channels. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Tom was Founder of Impact Training & Consulting working with wealth management firms to help them differentiate their approach and offerings and increase their competitive success in a commoditized market. Tom also has experience as a financial advisor beginning his career in the industry as a registered representative
with The Equitable.

Tom is a frequent speaker at national conferences and an editorial contributor to industry publications having a passion for understanding the essential nature of advice and how wealth management firms can best help advisors deliver the optimal client experience. Tom holds a Master’s in Organizational Learning from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from Florida Atlantic University. He is a Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA) and is a Six Sigma black belt.

Mike Foy

Mike Foy is responsible for the company’s research on both individual investors and financial advisors, as well as developing research-based client experience solutions that drive measurable results for wealth management firms.

Mike has worked in the wealth management industry for over 20 years. Prior to joining J.D. Power, he served as director of research and strategic sales at Penton Media, where he oversaw the advisor benchmarking research practice. Previously, he held senior product development and marketing positions at HNW, a boutique digital marketing agency focused on the wealth market, and at Dow Jones and Merrill Lynch.

Mike earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature and philosophy from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania and an MBA from Rutgers Business School. He currently resides in central New Jersey with his wife and two children.
