FSI and Broadridge Launch New Video Guide to Help Advisors Better Explain Form CRS to Investors
The Guide can also help facilitate more in-depth and meaningful discussions between advisors and clients
Today, the Financial Services Institute (FSI), in conjunction with global Fintech leader Broadridge Financial Solutions Inc. (NYSE:BR), announced that it has unveiled a new, free-to-use Form CRS Video Guide for FSI members. The Guide is comprised of three easily understandable, 90-second videos. The purpose of the Guide is to help investors and clients better understand what Regulation Best Interest’s Form CRS contains and to facilitate more meaningful conversations between them and their financial advisors.
“During the last few years, we have witnessed the most sweeping changes to the financial services compliance landscape in decades, including the introduction of Form CRS,” said FSI President & CEO Dale Brown. “Our members take their responsibilities in this area seriously and are committed to finding new and innovative ways to facilitate constructive dialogue with clients that gets them closer to reaching their financial goals. By making this video guide available as a courtesy to our members, we want to encourage that dialogue with more and more Main Street investors across the country.”
“We are excited to team with FSI to help further deepen the relationship between advisors and clients by making this great video guide available to the organization’s members and clients,” said Chris Perry, President of Broadridge. “The democratization of investing has been an ongoing trend and some investors undoubtedly can benefit from more clarity to make informed decisions about their financial futures.”
The CRS Video Guide, which can be white labeled, is now available. FSI member firms can visit the FSI website to access it. The Guide is for educational purposes only. It does not satisfy any disclosure or other regulatory requirements in whole or in part, nor is it intended to do so.
This announcement accompanies the kickoff of FSI OneVoice, FSI’s annual, in-person gathering for independent firm executives. This year’s event is in Palm Desert, Calif., at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa.
